CUTTACK: Odisha will get its own cyber forensic laboratory shortly.
“A state-of-the-art cyber forensic laboratory has been set up at Rasulgarh in Bhubaneswar and it is likely to be inaugurated on November 22,” said additional director general (Crime Branch), Santosh Upadhyay.
He further added that crime branch also has plans to upgrade the infrastructure and equipment at state forensic science laboratory (SFSL) by March 2018. The move will give a major boost to scientific investigations in crime.
Director General of Police R P Sharma said the new cyber forensic laboratory will ensure efficient and timely investigation of cyber crimes cases in the state.
