Dirty double-crossing Rat – Secret backdoor in trojan builder kit

Dirty double-crossing Rat – Secret backdoor in trojan builder kit

A free remote access trojan builder kit that was recently observed in various cyber-crime forums secretly contains an injected backdoor module that allows the kit’s authors to take over the malware later, unbeknownst to the attackers wielding it.

According to ThreatLabZ researchers from Zscaler, the malware, dubbed Cobian RAT, is distributed via traditional spam campaigns or compromised websites, and is capable of recruiting affected machines into a malicious botnet. Upon infection, the malware can also log key strokes, take screen captures, record audio and webcam video, execute shell commands, install and uninstall programs, use dynamic plug-ins, and manage files via a file browser.

However, at any time, the original authors of the RAT builder kit can attack the attackers (aka second-level operators) by commandeering these features as well as all infected systems, using them for their own gains. This is accomplished via the

Ex-Secret Service agent fess up to stealing more Silk Road bitcoins

The former Secret Service agent already serving a six-year sentence for stealing bitcoins while investigating online black market Silk Road has confessed to pocketing even more sacks of the digital currency.

In 2015, Shaun Bridges admitted that he funneled 20,000 bitcoins worth more than $820,000 to his personal account through a series of “complex” transactions in May 2013. Bridges was part of a task force investigating the dark net market along with former Drug Enforcement Administration agent Carl Force, who also pleaded guilty to charges of money laundering, obstruction of justice and extortion.

Ex-Secret Service agent fess up to stealing more Silk Road bitcoinsBridges left the Secret Service after pleading guilty to money laundering and obstruction charges. Ivanka Trump Stalker Nabbed By Secret Service A Block Away From Trump Tower

President-elect Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump has had a stalker since 2012, and the man is back at it. The Secret Service has picked up Justin Massler just a block away from Trump Tower, which is the Trump family home base. Massler had booked a room at a hotel nearby to be closer to Ivanka.

The election has put Ivanka Trump, a business woman and shoe designer on television, and in the news, perhaps reigniting her stalker’s compulsion to be near her. And the President-elect’s daughter has also been in the news in reference to the Trump appointment of Stephen Bannon to the Trump cabinet, according to a previous report by the Inquisitr. Bannon has been alleged to be an antisemite, and Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner are both Jewish.
