CANBERRA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) — Hundreds of mourners on Friday attended a memorial service for Amy “Dolly” Everett at a Northern Territory school following her death by suicide which her parents said was a result of cyber bullying.

Attendees from across rural Australia wore blue, Dolly’s favorite color, to the funeral in solidarity with her family.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on Thursday night issued a statement on social media, saying his heart was breaking for the Everett family.

“Dolly’s passing highlights the devastating impact that bullying can have on its victims,” Turnbull said.

“Every step must be taken to reduce the incidence of bullying, whether offline or on, and eliminate it wherever we can.”

A photo of Dolly as a child in an Akubra hat when she was the face of the iconic brand has gone viral since her parents, Tick and Kate Everett, released it as part of a social media campaign to

Former NBA Star Ray Allen Alleged Victim of Cyber-Stalking

New York, NY(Law Firm Newswire) January 3, 2018 – As reported in the New York Post, Ray Allen, a former star of the NBA, claimed he is a victim of “cat fishing,” and has requested that a court dismiss a case in which he is alleged to have stalked a person he met online.

Last November, Allen filed an emergency motion in Orange County, Florida, one day after Bryant Coleman informed the court that he is being stalked by Allen. However, Allen maintains that Coleman is the individual who is guilty of stalking.

According to the motion that was filed on behalf of Allen, Coleman posed as a number of attractive women who expressed an interest in Allen. Allen’s attorney issued a statement to the effect that Allen filed a legal claim in hopes of putting an end to threats against him and his family, and that Allen was

Family of sextortion victim Daniel Perry ‘losing hope’

The uncle of a teenager who took his life after being blackmailed by cybercriminals has said that he has “zilch” confidence in the suspect being brought to justice.

Revealed: Londoners fall victim to 3500 cyber fraud attacks a month

Londoners are falling victim to at least 3,500 cyber fraud attacks a month, police revealed today.

Scotland Yard warned that the scale of the problem could be far greater because such offences were “vastly under-reported”.

The Met now says it wants to encourage stronger links with private sector volunteers to combat cyber crime.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Miles, head of the Falcon cyber fraud unit, said one of the most prolific scams was online advertising fraud offering non-existent properties for sale or rent.

Others include romance frauds — tricking people into meeting their “perfect partner” through dating websites — and identity frauds, where criminals use victims’ details from social media.  Individuals and businesses also face phishing emails, ransomware attacks and more complex hacking raids.

Mr Miles said his detectives were investigating about 1,000 “volume
