Auckland schoolboy victim of ‘vulgar and relentless’ cyber bullying

An Auckland mother has spoken about the revolting and relentless abuse her young son is receiving from classmates on social media.

She only knows about the cyber bullying because her 11-year-old felt comfortable enough to share it with her, but she’s not happy with Blockhouse Bay Intermediate School’s response.

“The content of the messages is sexually inappropriate, very suggestive and vulgar,” says the mother, who wants to remain anonymous.

Some days he receives one or two messages, while on other days it’s relentless.

“There hasn’t been a day when at least one has not come through.”

The sender uses multiple apps, targeting his Instagram and Musical.ly accounts.

His mother suspects the people responsible are in his class, but believes the school hasn’t taken action.

“Initially I felt like we were getting somewhere. They expressed to be they have no legal obligation to investigate the matter further because it was happening outside of school hours.”

The school won’t comment

Blue ribbons in west Toledo neighborhood honor victim of cyber-b …

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) –

There was an amazing show of support Friday for a west Toledo teenager who killed himself earlier this week because of cyber-bullying.

People who live in the neighborhood that Luken Boyle called home have the blues.

But in a positive sense.

Blue was Luken’s favorite color.

On Friday morning, they wrapped blue ribbons around trees in the Bellevue Road area and Close Park to honor Luken’s life.

“It actually gives me goosebumps. I’m so proud to be part of this community that has come together,” said Carol Scally.

And that’s what this community does anytime somebody needs help.

The blue ribbons were hung with Luken’s parents in mind.

“I think it will help knowing that they have all the love and support around them within the community they live in,” said Marci Tressler.

Luken had just graduated from Blessed Sacrament Catholic School where he

CYBERCRIME lets crooks nab millions of pounds without leaving their bedroom – and mastering the techniques used in this shadowy underworld requires a bit more skill and intellectual prowess than nicking someone’s wallet.

Youngest sextortion victim is 14

KOTA KINABALU: The youngest victim of online sextortion in Malaysia is only 14 years old, said Head of the Consumer Protection and Complaints Bureau Department, Ratnawaty Talib.

She told participants of a seminar on empowering consumer rights yesterday that about 99 percent of sextortion victims were males between 25 and 45 years old.

She said a total of 300 complaints were received last year.

To avoid falling into such traps, Ratnawaty advised social media users to be vigilant and to abstain from accepting ‘friends requests’ from strangers through social media such as Facebook.

She said the amount extorted ranged from RM2,000 to RM5,000.

Ratnawaty said those extorting for money would threaten to upload the video(s) of the victim to YouTube if the money was not paid.

“Don’t panic. Lodge a complaint with MCMC which will report the matter to YouTube to take down the video.

If money has been paid, a police report needs to be lodged

Fans accused Normani of being disrespectful to former bandmate Camila Cabello during a Facebook Live stream interview last year (16).

Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei was subjected to horrific cyber bullying after an interview she did was “taken out of context”.

The 20-year-old singer is most well known for her work with the pop band, but is currently enjoying success on U.S. TV talent show Dancing With the Stars.

Monday night’s (08May17) episode saw Normani perform a contemporary number with professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy, which she admitted was symbolic of the times that she’s felt “helpless and desperate” – including when fans accused her of being disrespectful to former bandmate Camila Cabello during a Facebook Live stream interview.

“I got bullied terribly on social media. I did an interview. It was taken out of context completely and there were
